Youth Farm and Market Project’s mission is Growing Food to Develop Youth. We develop youth leadership and build neighborhood connectedness through planting, growing, selling, and cooking food. YOU can get 10 weeks of fresh produce delivered right to your door AND support the youth of our neighborhood by joining the Buying Club.
Every Wednesday from June 22nd to August 24th Youth Farm harvests and bike delivers Buying Club Bags to share owners. This summer’s harvest will include green beans, beets, peppers, potatoes, onions, carrots, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, radishes, kale, chard, zucchini, cilantro and basil. That’s so much produce! Last year we grew over 1,700 pounds, and this year we have the goal of 2,500 pounds. That’s a ton of food!

Hennepin County Native Plant Reimbursement Grants are available to Metro Bloom Raingarden Workshop participants who install a raingarden. Property owners are eligible for up to $75 of the cost of native plants and other materials purchased and used for the raingarden installation. Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis with submission of an application, receipts and a photograph of the installed raingarden. Funding is limited.
Register now for a workshop, taught by landscape design specialists from the nonprofit group Metro Blooms. The $10-$15 workshops will be offered in seven West Metro communities from April to mid June.
