The 7th Annual Kingfield Neighborhood Garden Tour, Thursday July 9th, 2015, at 6pm, is a self-guided evening of butterfly and bee-friendly garden exploration. Walk, bike, or drive, in the rain or sunshine. This year’s focus is on native plants, and helping to support all of our friendly pollinators. Gardeners will be on hand for questions and yard tours.
The tour will end with a celebration of how the Kingfield Pleasant Community Garden has grown! Refreshments will be served. Local author Douglas Owens-Pike’s gardening book, “Beautifully Sustainable†will be available for sale by the author himself, and you can even take a tour of the Kingfield Honeybees’ Hives (perhaps you will even see one of the bees you named during our Name That Bee events)!
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased Sunday, July 5 at the Kingfield Farmers Market and at Nicollet Ace Hardware (3805 Nicollet Ave S) from July 5-7.
On the day of the event, tickets will be sold and maps may be picked up at Nicollet Ace Hardware, the start of this year’s tour, from 5:45-6:45 pm. Be sure to turn in your ticket stub for a drawing to win a beautiful red charcoal grill, donated by Nicollet Ace Hardware!
All proceeds will be donated in direct support for Kingfield Community Gardens.
