The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is pleased to announce that, thanks to a generous donation from Minneapolis native and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Jr., the basketball court at Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr Park is about to get a facelift. Work could begin as early as June 25, depending on the weather. The court will be resurfaced in blue and green, and new hoops, poles, backboards, and benches will be installed. Completion is anticipated for early to mid-July. A news release has been posted on the MPRB website.
