Campers will learn yoga poses and games that emphasize cooperation, leadership, self-control, creativity, and self-awareness. This will be a good opportunity to deepen relationships between siblings and friends.  Each day we will explore – our environment on a Meditation Walk, our food as we prepare healthy produce from the Kingfield Market. We will also explore our stories as we look inward and listen to what our bodies, hearts and minds are saying. We will tap into the power of our story and use art and creativity to express it outwardly.

…a pop-up coffee shop in Kingfield at 3910 Stevens Ave South, at the backside of the gym!

Pilgrim Lutheran’s 2-4 grade classroom coffee shop will be open 2 more days this school year. Thank you for your support during our debut, and we look forward to having your support on Friday, April 26 from 12:00-12:45 and 2:00-2:30
in the back part of the gym (this is on either side of our 1:00 showing of our spring musical: Malice in the Palace, the Story of Esther).  As part of our experiential learning program, our 2-4 graders studied the history and origins of coffee as a beverage and spent time researching the coffee shop experience by visiting 5 local coffee shops.  They have also studied the basics of entrepreneurship and owning and running a business and have planned and purchased all the necessary equipment to open a shop!
We will also be open on Sunday, May 4 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM during coffee hour in the cafeteria in church building. Our
proceeds will go towards our classroom camping trip at the end of the May and a special mission taking place in Malawi, Africa this summer!
The Area C Meeting topics are developed in collaboration with the parent co-chairs, Liz ShortMargaret Richardson, associate superintendent Theresa Battle and district staff.  If you have an idea that needs to be brought to a meeting, let us know.  We are looking at “Crowded Classrooms & Tight Budgets” as a starting point for the upcoming meeting.
