July 23rd 5:30-9pm
at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 40th and Nicollet, north side of park building
Now that the Mosaic Quilt has been hung at the park, help build a Quilted Garden of nine raised beds, planted with vegetables that are reflect the different cultures in our community! Â
Together we are creating a garden where COMMUNITY, JUSTICE, & FOOD come together to create a healthy, learning-environment for all neighbors. We envision a place where neighbors work and play side-by-side as we all learn about the stories, art, culture, foods and celebrations of our diverse neighbors.
On July 23, come Build and Plant the Garden Boxes, and learn how youth (ages 10-14, or younger if accompanied by their parent) can be involved these last few weeks of summer in learning how to care for, and cook from, the garden!
