1) Katricia Daniels and her 10-year old son, Robert Shepard, were murdered in their 1st Avenue home just a few weeks ago. This left Katricia’s boyfriend, Joe Williams, to care for their 1-year old child alone. In order to assist Joe Williams through this difficult transition, a donation account has been established by Joe’s employer at US Bank. Donations are NOT tax deductible.

To make a monetary contribution, checks can be made out to:

Joe Williams Fund

And mailed to:

US Bank
Minneapolis Main Office
800 Nicollet Mall, 2nd Floor
Minneapolis, MN 55402-7020

Donations can also be made at any US Bank in Minnesota.

2) Seeking interested volunteers to discuss KFNA’s plans for future structure of the newsletter.

Kingfield neighbors, Martha Ingram (Editor) and Thor Anderson (Layout) have both decided that after over 4 years working on the newsletter they would like to hand the tasks of editing and layout to a new party. The July newsletter is the last issue they will be working on. Thor has offered to train in the next layout person and hand over files and templates for a smooth transition. Thank you Thor and Martha for your years of service and interest in connecting all Kingfield neighbors to the activities and events of KFNA and in the Kingfield neighborhood!

Currently, KFNA needs to identify a new Editor and Layout person by mid-July for the September newsletter. At this time of transition, it seems KFNA would also like to discuss potential changes to the newsletter including size, content, layout, and publishing timing so that a new group of volunteers can place their personal mark on this important communication tool and we can possibly bring down the cost.

Any one interested in offering their opinion and time to work on the Kingfield News is invited to attend:
