Second Chance for All: Advocating for Fair Hiring practices for Individuals with a Criminal Record.
Please join Elizabeth for a conversation about challenges facing individuals with a criminal record, and efforts to create fair hiring opportunities for those who have already served their time. Identified as one of the largest civil rights challenges today, more than 40 local government entities – cities, counties, and states – have removed unfair barriers to employment in their hiring practices. We will be joined by Sarah Walker, of 180 Degrees, and Justin Terrell, who leads the Justice 4 All Campaign of Take Action Minnesota, to discuss policy proposals and campaign initiatives to ensure people with criminal records have a fair opportunity to get jobs, housing, and integrate fully into our communities. Please join us for a lively conversation!
