Minneapolis has been redistricted, and the new wards and precincts are being used for the first time in the 2012 elections. That means many residents will vote in new wards, and a number of polling places are in new locations. Voters in Minneapolis should plan ahead to make sure they know where to vote on Election Day, Nov. 6, and there are several easy ways to find your polling place.

You can find out where to vote by visiting the Minnesota Secretary of State’s polling place finder polling place finder at www.mnvotes.org. On the website, you can also confirm whether you’re registered to vote or learn what you need to do to register at the polls on Election Day.

Voters can also see a new map on the City’s website that shows the new ward and precinct boundaries along with a list of polling places for each precinct. To see the map, or for more information on voting this fall, visit the City’s elections web page at www.minneapolismn.gov/elections. Voters can also get election information by calling 311.
