The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) presented the Martin Luther King Park 11U football team with the 2009 Fall Youth Football Sportsmanship Award. The award was presented at the Dec. 16 meeting of the Board of Commissioners.
Criteria for the team sportsmanship award include a positive attitude, commitment, dedication, overcoming adversity and persistence. Youth sports awards are presented by the MPRB Youth and Adult Athletics staff for fall/winter sports and spring/summer sports.
