Featured Speaker - Megan Hoye
Megan Hoye works on renewable energy development initiatives, energy efficiency policy research, and other broad environmental policy issues, as well as co-founded and ran a sustainable behavior change pilot program in the summer of 2012. She is interested in further developing a business model that can support sustainable behavior change at the community scale. She has a M.S. in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy  from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a B.S. in Interior Design and architecture from the University of MN.

Megan will give an overview of the threeACTIONS Project that is a community-action sustainable behavior change program. She will share her ideas and examples of how local businesses could make their businesses more appealing to local patrons/customers.
- BACKGROUND INFO: The threeACTIONS Projectprovided a model for motivating sustainable behavior change at the local level
- PROJECT & FUTURE OBJECTIVES: One of the objectives of the project was to influence local level policy and business by informing decision makers and business leaders about what types of gaps there are for those attempting to live a sustainable lifestyle
- DISCUSSION OF LOCAL BENEFIT: A discussion of how businesses belonging to NEHBA could benefit from a project like this in their community by providing businesses with local market information making businesses more capable of providing for local and loyal customers (i.e. hardware stores, restaurants, apartment complexes/developers, offices, etc.)
