Also Nicollet Ace Hardware Accepting and Matching Playground Donations
Nicollet Ace Hardware has graciously offered to collect donation for the playground the entire month of June! Volunteers will be on hand Saturday June 8, from 11 AM- 3 PM to answer questions about the playground and distribute paper surveys. Donations will be accepted at this volunteer table as well as directly at the cash register for those that want to round up their purchase for the playground.
Starting in 2013, Nicollet Ace Hardware decided to select a local charity and collect donations at the register to support their work. Cashiers ask if customers would like to donate $1, $3, or $5 and communicate what charity is, how much has been raised to date, and the fact that ACE matches every dollar! In April, Nicollet Ace Hardware raised $698 for the Sabathani Food Shelf, in May they raised funds for the Humane Society, but then the Oklahoma tornadoes happened so the funds they end of the month went there. June donation will be for the new playground at Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Park, a cause to which Julene Lind, owner of Nicollet Ace Hardware has already made a large direct donation towards in 2012. In July, funds will be collected, and matched!, for the Children’s Miracle Network. Be sure to say thank you to Julene and Steve next time you stop into out local Kingfield hardware store!
