The Kingfield Empty Bowls Collection Begins–Be Part of Filling Empty Bowls in Our Community by Fighting Hunger and Homelessness!

Pottery Artists and Pottery collectors! You can drop off bowls for the February 7th event beginning today at the Colorwheel Gallery, 319 W 46th St. Regular hours are Tuesday through Satruday 11 AM- 7 PM and Sundays 1-4 PM…Gallery Phone: #612 823 5693.

Plus mark your calendars for the Empty Bowls event, this year at Dr. Martin Luther King Park, February 7th, 4-8pm. All profits from this event will be donated to Nicollet Square, 3700 Nicollet, which provides an affordable home & support system for 42 formerly homeless youth.

The concept of Empty Bowls is simple: Attendees make a donation (suggested at $20 per bowl), select a beautiful handmade bowl donated by a local pottery artist, enjoy a hearty meal of soup prepared by volunteers, then keep their bowl as a reminder that many of our neighbors are in need of food and housing. There’s magic in bringing neighbors together to share a meal for a good cause. We hope you’ll join us!
