Pat and Donna Mulroy propose to rehabilitate the office portion of the existing building at 3920 Nicollet to improve the offices of the auto body business, and to house several commercial businesses that would be accessed through a separate entrance off of Nicollet Avenue, which meets the zoning codes definition of a “shopping centerâ€Â They also propose to place business signage on the north wall of the business which would not be allowed without a variance as it is not a “primary building wallâ€. These actions require a rezoning of the property from a R2B to C2.
The City Planning Commission meets Monday May 7, 4:30 PM, Room 317, City Hall, 350 S. 5th Street, MPLS. Interested parties are welcome to attend and be heard. Planning Department Staff will issue a recommendation to the Planning commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on the legal findings of fact. Please visit www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/cped/agendas/planning-commission/ for the agenda and the staff report by the end of the day Thursday prior to the meeting date.
