Patisserie 46 is turning to chocolate in honor of St. Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.  Chef John Kraus, celebrated for his breads, pastries and other delicacies, is also a past winner of the Food Network’s Chocolate Challenge, and he and his wife Dawn are pulling out all the stops for the holiday, showcasing — chocolate.Â
P46 will be open especially for the occasion, throughout the weekend for shopping for gifts and other treats. And for a special celebration, from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, the whole place will be devoted to all things chocolate.
Come in and see the dramatic chocolate sculpting that helped win the Chocolate Challenge. Stop in any time during the day, or days before, to pick up gifts for teachers, friends, and of course, for special someones.

Patisserie 46 is located in the Minneapolis Kingfield neighborhood, near Lake Harriet, on the northwest corner of 46th and Grand, by Café Ena and King’s. Pastry Chef John Kraus, an American pastry chef trained in the European artisan model, left Chicago’s French Pastry School (the nation’s top pastry program) to create the neighborhood bakery, which opened in July 2010. He has twice been named one of Pastry Art and Design Magazine’s “Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America†(2005 and 2006), and was the winner of the 2004 Food Network Chocolate Challenge.Â
