One-Evening Soccer Training Opportunity

Parent-Coaches for King Park Little-Kids Soccer Program
For the ninth summer KFNA is sponsoring, with the Minneapolis Park Board, a Saturday morning soccer program for 4 through 10 year olds. The program uses an array of learning games with a soccer ball to have fun, learn some basic soccer skills, and build community in the Kingfield Neighborhood. For the third year we are using parent-coaches to teach and lead the games on Saturdays from 10 to 11:15 AM, from June 19th through August 7th.
The games are great fun, not just for the kids, but the coaches as well! And on Tuesday evening, June 8th, from 7 to 8:30 PM, we have arranged for Sean McKuras, of the Bloomington Youth Soccer Club, to come to King Park’s soccer area (along 42nd Street in the baseball field #1 outfield grass) to teach, or refresh or memories of, our basic games for the summer.
You’ll get a list of the games, your very own classic black M.L. King Llittle-Kids-Soccer-Coach shirt, and, best of all, some “you-are-the-kids” training on each of the games from a great fan of these teaching games.
Call Scott Bordon (612/ 827-1868) or Michael Vanderford (612/ 827-3014) for more details.

Leonardo’s Basement, 4301 Nicollet Ave. S, is an educational organization aimed at creating imaginative learning environments in which to explore art, science and technology.
“The single biggest philosophical emphasis for having this program is that I don’t see any reason why we should say ‘no’ to kids that want to do something … read the rest at http://www.swjournal.com/index.php?&story=12949&page=152&category=64
