Urban Arts Academy Preschool Open Houses
Filed Under art, Schools, youth | Leave a Comment
Are you or is someone you know looking for a preschool for the Fall? Urban Arts Academy is hosting two Open Houses for families interested in learning more about our preschool. Join us on March 14th from 5:00p – 6:30p or April 14th from 10:00a – 11:30a to see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and see what we’re all about!
Urban Arts Academy is a nonprofit organization in South Minneapolis that uses art as the tool to enhance a child’s natural desire to explore and create. We offer a flexible weekday program for children ages 3-5. We build sculptures, work in clay, speak Spanish, bang on drums, and have a great deal of fun!

Hello,
I would like to invite you to sign up to volunteer for Kingfield’s 1st Empty Bowls event. Please click on the link above to sign up.
I am using Jooners to organize this activity. To participate, you do not need to register or become a member of Jooners. You just enter your email address, name, and notes to me and you will be notified of any changes and receive reminders via email!

Information on the event is attached to this email. Youth between the ages of 12-15 are welcome to volunteer with a parent or responsible adult. Youth older than that are welcome to attend and volunteer on their own.
We are still seeking bowl donations for this event. If you are able to help please contact me directly, or bring your donation to the Color Wheel Gallery at 46th & Grand, 11 AM- 7 PM, Tuesday-Saturday.

Nicollet Avenue Gathering Spaces?
Filed Under art, businesses, community engagement, redevelopment | Leave a Comment
Picture a Nicollet Avenue main street from Lake to 40th Street with bustling shoppers, blinking lights, and chattering people.
Then tell us, where are the people gathering to greet each other, pass a few minutes, and catch up on the community gossip? Which intersections or nooks along that stretch seem ripe for creating welcoming and vibrant gathering spaces? What do you see happening at each? Email your ideas for Ben and Marjorie, the Nicollet Avenue Artist Team to info@kingfield.org
