[The park has agreed to waive the staffing fee if we help with their food drive in this time of need.] Bring fixings for s’mores and a chair if you want.

No agenda, just a chance to relax and connect. Bring a neighbor–all ages are welcome!

We are a close-knit block and are coming together as a community in order to help the Greiling family.

Garfield resident Kevin Kling, who is a nationally recognized playwright and storyteller best known for his commentary on the NPR show All Things Considered will be headlining the show.  Also on the bill are next-door neighbors Rosie Cole and Lloyd Brant who are best known for their popular comedy act The Wacky Chicken Show. Kevin, Rosie and Lloyd will lead an impressive line-up of entertainment that are coming together for the Gabriel Grieling Benefit.

Becoming a block leader is a great way to get involved with your community and your block– and remember, the best defense against crime is a connected block with neighbors looking out for each other. The training is informal and we encourage more than one representative per block to attend. Revised Crime Prevention Resource Manuals provided.
