The residents of the 4200 block of Garfield Avenue South in the Kingfield neighborhood are organizing a benefit to raise money to help pay the medical bills incurred by five-year-old Gabriel Grieling after being run over by a Minneapolis school bus on February 25, 2009. Up until the day before the accident Gabriel and his mother were living on our block with his paternal grandparents Ralph and Linda Grieling. We are a close-knit block and are coming together as a community in order to help the Greiling family.

Garfield resident Kevin Kling, who is a nationally recognized playwright and storyteller best known for his commentary on the NPR show All Things Considered will be headlining the show. Also on the bill are next-door neighbors Rosie Cole and Lloyd Brant who are best known for their popular comedy act The Wacky Chicken Show. Kevin, Rosie and Lloyd will lead an impressive line-up of entertainment that are coming together for the Gabriel Grieling Benefit.
