Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, 4055 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis
Join a community discussion on the relevance of the impact The Way Opportunities Unlimited Inc. had on social reform in Minnesota, and the ongoing violence we are seeing today, and how we respond to it. Leading the discussion will be Professor Mahmoud El-Kati, former director of The Way’s education department; Verlena Matey-Keke, former coordinator of The Way’s education department; and Rev. Dr. Rolland Robinson, former chair of The Way’s board of directors and author of “For A Moment We Had The Way”. These movement leaders can connect Minneapolis’ past and present struggles and strategies.
This free program is sponsored by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park Legacy Council with support from the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and Living Spirit United Methodist Church. For more information:   651-492-7070
