“The Art of Marriage” Silent Auction

An Event to Benefit Defeat of the Marriage Amendment (aka “Vote No”)
Thursday July 19, 6-9 PM, 4325 Nicollet
FrameUps/Capstone Gallery will be hosting an event to support the efforts of Minnesotans United For All Families (www.mnunited.org). MNUnited is a coalition set up to support the freedom of marriage for committed couples. Their goal is to help defeat the proposed amendment to the MN state constitution being voted on in the November 2012 election. Please join us for an evening of art and equality. Bid on a variety of work provided by local artists in our silent auction. Proceeds will go to MNUnited. Appetizers & refreshments will be provided by The Low Brow (www.thelowbrowmpls.com).

On 6/13/12 the KFNA Board approved joining the coalition or organizations, churches, synagogues, governmental bodies, and businesses opposing the two constitutional amendment questions on the November 2012 ballot.

Just a note – try to get the language right. Saying it’s an event to benefit the marriage amendment makes it sound like people should vote yes on the amendment, which is confusing and could result in mistaken votes in the fall. (This may be the fault of whoever did the advertising originally, but it should still be fixed!)
