Two ramps on northbound I-35W in Minneapolis to close July 6

Motorists will encounter ramp closures on northbound I-35W in Minneapolis. The entrance ramp from 35th Street and the exit ramp to 31st Street from the freeway will close at 5 a.m. Monday, July 6. These ramps will be closed for approximately three weeks as crews continue the construction of an additional northbound lane on I-35W.

Detour routes are as follows:

  • 35th Street entrance to northbound I-35W Detour: East on 36th Street to Park Avenue; north to Franklin Ave; west to I-35W 
  • 31st Street exit from northbound I-35W Detour: Exit I-35W at 35th/36th Street, go east on 36th Street to Park Avenue; go north to 31st Street east

    Can we please get the police to not allow beggers at any of the traffic lights at the four stops at the 35th and 36th Street ramps on and off of 35W. Thanks.
