The Business Environment Green Incentive Program is intended to encourage local businesses to consider and install green technologies in an effort to grow public environmental awareness, test new technologies, and green the Kingfield neighborhood.  Up to $7500 is available to any commercial (not home-based) business or commercial property owner for their property located in Kingfield.  Qualifying projects include green demonstration projects at the applicant’s place of business. Green demonstration projects can include, but are not limited, to a variety of environmentally conscience site design techniques including green roofs, on-site stormwater management practices, LEED building standards, solar technologies, geothermal heating and other green construction technologies, water efficiency, energy efficiency, pervious pavers, composting, stormwater.
Final determination on the eligibility of the project is the responsibility of the Kingfield Neighborhood Association Redevelopment Committee, which meets monthly on the 4th Wednesday, 7 PM, at MLK Park, 4055 Nicollet.
