Register for the Nicollet Open Streets Run for Beer, presented with support from the MN Brewery Series! Kicking off at 11:20 AM (check-in begins at 11 AM) from MLK Park and racing up and back down Nicollet Avenue.
Join your neighbors for a very casual 5k-ish fun run at the start of Nicollet Open. Get there at 11 for registration check-in and stretching. This event is open to the public, but please preregister! Cost for the run is $30 and 100% of all registration fees go directly to Kingfield and Lyndale Neighborhood Associations, non-profits committed to developing local leadership, identifying and solving local issues, and building a stronger community in our neighborhoods and within the City. Your registration includes the fun-run, swag/give-aways, 1 free beer from your choice of select vendors along Nicollet Avenue… and bragging rights! Shifts are for an hour and 45 minutes, giving 15 minutes of overlap between shifts so you can be certain you are comfortable in your role and prepared. Nicollet Open Streets is coming to Nicollet on Sunday, September 23rd from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nicollet Avenue will be closed for motorized vehicles from Lake Street to 46th Street leaving the streets open for community members to experience Nicollet in a whole different way. This exciting event brings thousands of people to the area to experience the Lyndale and Kingfield neighborhoods and to pull of this grand event we need your help! There are a number of volunteer opportunities and ways that you can be a part of this amazing new event. It’s fun! AND you get a really cool special edition free Nicollet Open Streets t-shirt!
Shifts are for an hour and 45 minutes, giving 15 minutes of overlap between shifts so you can be certain you are comfortable in your role and prepared. Shifts are:
10:30 – 12:30
12:15 – 2:15
2:00 – 4:00
3:45 – 5:45
Returning to the 3400 block of Nicollet on September 23rd from 11 AM- 5 PM…an Artisan Fair! As part of the larger, two-mile event, Nicollet Open Streets, we are providing 10-by-10-foot spaces rented to local artists for $25. We hope to again to reflect our community’s love of art while providing local artists an opportunity to showcase their work. Featuring over 20 artists this year, there are still a few spaces remaining! Registrations are due by September 14th. Please note, artists cannot sell food or drink, just art.
