Thank you to the over 120 neighbors that have already completed the Kingfield Strategic Visioning Survey; we would love to hear from the rest of you! https://bit.ly/KFNAsurvey2021
What is the survey for? As we move through the Covid-19 pandemic and the city-wide (and global) reverberations of the murder of George Floyd by MPD, Kingfield Neighborhood Association (KFNA) is taking time to get insights and input from the Kingfield community about the mission, role, and programming of KFNA.
Why are we doing the survey? In the next 3 years, regular funding for KFNA will drop by 60% , due to a new Minneapolis funding program that prioritizes majority BIPOC and historically disinvested neighborhoods. In this new funding environment, the KFNA Board wants to make sure the association is prioritizing the issues and programs most important to everyone in the neighborhood.
How will you make sure responses represent the neighborhood? We aim to get 400-800 responses to this survey between May-August 2021, aiming for a representational response of 5-10% of the neighborhood. There are ~8000 residents in Kingfield, 63% renters, 35% homeowners. 78% of the neighborhood is white, 22% BIPOC.
