Southwest Minneapolis music fans: drop whatever you have planned for Friday night.Â
From 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., you should head down to Kingfield church Solomon’s Porch, to hear DJ Jake Rudh, of “Transmission” dance night fame, spin at SoAlive, a dance party and fundraiser for HIV/AIDS community center The Aliveness Project. Rudh, who also hosts a Thursday night show on 89.3 The Current, has been a long-time fixture in the Minneapolis music scene. Last year alone, he won:

- “Artist of the Year†from the Star Tribune
- “Best FM Radio Personality†from CityPages
