The weather is finally getting warmer, and that means our friends and neighbors are out enjoying springtime in Minneapolis. Unfortunately, so are the bad guys… and leaving garage doors open and service doors unlocked is the perfect recipe for bike theft.
There is something you can do today to help improve the chances of recovering your bike should the unthinkable happen:
Consider registering your bicycle with the City of Minneapolis Bicycle Registration Database. Registering your bicycle greatly increases the chances it will be returned to you if recovered.
You simply need to provide your contact information, bicycle serial number (located on bottom of crank shaft or on the fork supporting the handle bars), and other basic information. You only need to register once unless you need to update contact information or bicycle details.
