MLK Park was busy all day Super Tuesday—almost 3000 Kingfield neighbors cast a vote in person at the presidential primary! Even more exciting, 203 new voters to the precints registered and voted. Welcome to Kingfield, New Neighbors!
1334 neighbors voted in 8-6 (north of 40th Street) and 1651 neighbors voted in 8-7 (south of 40th Street). Plus, hundreds voted early/absentee. In fact, Kingfield precincts both rallied a 60.3% turnout, compared to the national average of 28.5%.
We hope that you stopped by one of KFNA’s polling party tents for refreshments and to say hello. A huge thanks to our coffee and treats donors Butter Bakery Café, Curran’s Restaurant, Five Watt Coffee, The Lowbrow and Royal Grounds Coffee. Also, dozens of neighbors baked treats, brought firewood, staffed the tents and served as crossing guards at 41st Street.
We’ll be again hosting a polling party when we vote next at MLK Park on August 11th  (state primary). We look forward to seeing you again to cast your votes!
