“I love the Census slogan this year: “Everyone Countsâ€. It is why I work as the director, community organizer, communications-lead, and chief cook and bottle-washer for KFNA. Every person deserves to be seen, and heard, and validated as a unique human on this strange and wonderful planet that we share. I am committed to continuing to reach out and connect people to each other and other great organizations, and work to see that no one is sitting alone, in despair and hopelessness, because every person has talents and skills to share. Helping others, specifically through volunteering, builds connections and community, bolsters self-esteem, and creates a team mentality and engaging our full community is critical to creating one Minneapolis.”
