“My commitment is to research the organizations and businesses that I give my time, money, and attention to. I intend to use the buying power I have to lift up our BIPOC neighbors who own businesses and make sure that companies that I am supporting and working with have values that line up with the change I want to see in our city. Shopping local has always been important to me, but now I am really focused on diversifying the businesses I frequent and the organizations that I donate time and money to to make sure that their goals align with my own of having a police-free, community safety led Minneapolis.”
