MLK Park, 4055 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis

A unique collaboration in 50 metro parks will be celebrated on Weds. June 21!

At Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park join volunteer story readers Greg Wenz, Tracine Asberry and Betty Tisel as TWO new Little Free Libraries are unveiled at Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Minneapolis.

7:00 PM: Meet north of the park building by the community garden for stories and unveiling of a Little Free Library adopted by Kingfield Neighborhood Association.
7:25 PM: Parade to the second Little Free Library by the playground, south of the rec center, adopted by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park Legacy Council, for more stories and a second unveiling.

The libraries are being donated and filled with great kids' books for the unveiling, thanks to the Minneapolis Foundation, Minneapolis Parks Foundation, MPR, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. RAIN OR SHINE: if it rains, we will read inside the rec center.
