You can send your own postcard to any clinic or healthcare worker you know, or pick up one of ours from a local coffee shop, attach a message of hope and care, and leave it in the drop box, and we will deliver them to local sites for you! Connecting Families

3a) Hennepin County 4-H Family Gathering

Thursday, November 11th, 7:00 PM -8:00 PM

On Zoom - Register Here!

Hennepin County 4-H is looking to re-establish a 4-H club presence in the South Minneapolis area! Due to pandemic-related facility constraints and volunteer leadership transitions, the 4-H club presence in South Minneapolis needs some TLC! Join us for a family gathering and brainstorming event.

Please join us for our first virtual family gathering on Thursday, November 11th from 7:00-8:00 PM. Meet with 4-H staff and fellow South Minneapolis families to learn all about 4-H, and what it takes to sustain a 4-H program in your area! Youth and adults will participate together in a fun, brief, 4-H activity with staff, and spend time discussing what it takes to continue a volunteer-led 4-H club.

This effort seeks at least 2 adults (ages 19+) to be 4-H club leaders who will facilitate a club experience (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) between fall 2021 to spring 2022. Volunteers are supported by 4-H staff throughout the year. The minimum commitment averages to about 4 hours per month (2 hours planning, 2 hours in delivery at club gatherings). We absolutely welcome shared leadership across families as well to alleviate busy schedules and uplift leadership when timing and skills best align.

Hennepin County 4-H is a youth development organization for youth from kindergarten through one year after high school. Youth can participate in short-term activities such as summer day camps, or long-term clubs where groups meet regularly to work on projects, perform community service, and develop leadership skills. 4-H offers activities in many project areas including STEM, leadership and citizenship, healthy living, animal science, and much more.
