All people benefit from practicing yoga, but kids seem especially able to embody yoga, unifying body, mind and spirit leading to self-awareness and healthy interpersonal relationships. Pati Richards has been working as a parent/child educator for 9 years. She is certified in Yoga Calm and brings her love of children, enthusiasm for movement and desire for holistic health to each class.

At Kids Yoga Day Camp, your child will learn poses and play yoga games that will support them physically and emotionally as they gain skills and confidence in cooperation, communication, leadership, compassion, strength, flexibility, mindfulness and creativity. This will be a good opportunity to deepen relationships between siblings and friends. Each day we will explore – our environment on a Meditation Walk, our food as we prepare healthy produce and taste other local, fresh food from the Kingfield Market. We will also explore our stories as we look inward and listen to what our bodies, hearts and minds are saying as we move our bodies in yoga asana (postures). We will tap into the power of our stories using art and creativity to express it outwardly.

Kingfield Residential Organics Collection Workshop & Drop-off

MLK Park's Parking Lot, 4055 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis

Organic Drop-off Changes at MLK Park—Important! Read Before You Drop!

90 residents are already using the organics drop-off bins at MLK Park, and it is going so smoothly that we are cutting the volunteer-monitored drop-offs and instead giving residents the code to use the locked cans! This means that residents that have NOT started using this communal organics collection system yet will need to register on-line first, before they can drop their waste off. You can register at the City of Minneapolis’ Organics Drop-Off webpage. To see what can, and can’t be composted visit the FAQ tip sheet.
