Street Repaving Assessments: Avoid the Interest Fee and Pay Now
If your block was resurfaced this summer, your property was assessed for street resurfacing. Assessments of more than $150 are collected in five annual principal installments on the real estate tax statements beginning in 2018. Interest is charged on the assessments at a 3.9% rate. Want to avoid paying 3.9% interest? You can prepay your entire amount starting in November through the end of 2017. Call 612.673.2401 for a pay statement.
The City of Minneapolis will not be sending or publishing any further notices about prepayment for this street resurfacing assessment, but because KFNA cares about its neighbors, we’re reminding you here!
