Polls are open in MN from 7 AM - 8 PM. If you are in line at 8 PM, you can still vote.
On election day, Tuesday Nov. 6 2019 everyone MUST register and vote where you live. If you are unsure of where to vote use the Polling Place Finder to find your polling place. IF you live in Kingfield Neighborhood you vote at Martin Luther King Park, 4055 Nicollet Avenue South.
You can use the Voter Registration Lookup to determine if you are registered under your current name and address. If you are registered you do NOT need an ID to vote.
In Minnesota, you CAN register and vote at your polling place on Election Day. If you are registering you MUST provide ONE (1) of the following proofs of residence at your polling place: The list of documents voters can show as proof of residence has been expanded.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license or learner's permit, or a receipt for either, showing current name and address in the precinct. See MN Department of Driver and Vehicle Services for additional information.
- Valid Minnesota identification card or receipt for one, showing current name and address in the precinct.
- Tribal ID containing the current name and address in the precinct, signature and picture of the individual.
- Voter Voucher - a person may vouch for another voter, signing an oath confirming personal knowledge of the address of the voter who is registering, subject to the following guidelines:
- A voucher must be a pre-registered voter in the same precinct or a voter who registers in the same precinct on Election Day with one of the other authorized proofs of residence.
- A person may vouch for a limit of eight voters.
- A voter who is vouched for cannot vouch for another voter.
- Employee Voucher- must be identified on a Certified List of Employees of a Residential Facility from a facility in the precinct or have other employee ID.
- Late Notice of Registration - letter mailed by election headquarters within the two weeks prior to Election Day, showing the address of the voter in the precinct. If you receive this letter, follow all instructions and bring it to your polling place.
- Previous registration in the same precinct - valid registration in the same precinct under a different name or address.
- MN post-secondary student photo ID - if your school has provided a housing list to the election officials. We have student housing lists for students living on-campus in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota, Augsburg College, North Central University, St. Catherine University, Art Institutes International, and Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

ALL Kingfield vote at MLK Park and thus KFNA is there for you—with hot coffee, tasty treats, and friendly conversation. All Kingfield residents are invited... THANK YOU FOR VOTING! Look for three tents outside the park building--we will have the fire pits blazing!
This party will be fueled all day by a handful of fabulous local businesses including hot coffee and tasty treats from The Lowbrow, Butter Bakery Café, Gigi's, Five Watt Coffee, Royal Grounds, Sun Street Breads, and Victor’s 1959 Café!

Please join Kingfield Neighborhood Association on Election Night, Tuesday 6 November from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm for a Returns Watching Party. We’ll be celebrating our awesome turnout at MLK Park with food and drink and the TVs will be turned to national networks to watch the returns all across the country. We’ll also have an emcee updating you on local races.
Tell your server you’re there to support Get Out The Vote and Harriet’s Inn will donate 15% of your tab to KFNA to support our GOTV efforts. Come raise a glass and celebrate democracy with your neighbors!

Calling all Ceramic Artists to a Pottery Throwdown!

8 Wheels will be available and clay is provided for Saturday throwing and Sunday bowl-trimming. Please RSVP to reserve your wheel to info@kingfield.org. We will reserve a couple wheels for drop-in artists, as well, but a reservation guarantees you a seat at a wheel!
Artists, please donate your time and talents to help us create soup-sized bowls for the annual Kingfield Empty Bowls Event, benefitting Nicollet Square, which provides stable home to 42 formerly homeless youth in our neighborhood!
In partnership with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park who is donating the space, equipment, and kiln time.
