May 20, 2009 (MINNEAPOLIS)  The Minneapolis Police Department’s Traffic Accident Investigation Unit is requesting the public’s help in learning more about a possible hit and run accident that occurred on May 15th, 2009 at 7:40 p.m. in the area of Nicollet Avenue South and West 32nd Street.Â
 That night officers in the Fifth Precinct had responded to report of an injured person down near the intersection of 33rd Street East and Blaisdell Avenue South.  Once on the scene they found a thirty-six year old male with severe injuries whom the officers thought had been assaulted.  Investigation has revealed that the male was most likely struck by a vehicle near 32ndStreet and Nicollet Avenue South.  The victim is still in critical condition at HCMC.Â
Accident investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area that night and saw something or can provide any information about this case contact Sgt. Bradley Simonson at 612-673-3442.
