Kingfield Garden Tool Swap

April 29, 2024 By Josh Martin

Attention, Kingfield Gardeners!
From Seasoned Growers to novice Seed-Sowers, all were welcome at the 5th annual Minneapolis Garden Tool Swap!
Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and community partners once again offered this free event on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at seven parks citywide. The Kingfield swap takes place at MLK Park each year.
As you start Spring cleaning, hang on to those unused/unneeded garden tools, planters, garden décor, books, seeds, and more, and share them with neighbors at the swap. You do not need to bring items to participate. All items donated at the swap are free for any participant to take home. For more event details, visit the City’s Garden Tool Swap webpage: MPLS Garden Tool Swap
In 2023, over 1,600 items were dropped off and more than 70% of items were taken by the end of the three hour event. Let’s make each year bigger and better. Let us know you’re coming and invite your friends and loved ones to join. Please come to mingle with your fellow neighbors while you purge your unneeded garden tools and find just the right thing you need to finish up that new garden bed project!
