Kingfield Empty Bowls

Handmade Bowls+ Handmade Soup= Kingfield Empty Bowls, an event to build community & raise funds for NICOLLET SQUARE, a home for 42 formerly homeless youth in Kingfield managed by Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative

The concept of the Kingfield Empty Bowls Event is simple: Attendees make a donation (suggested at $20 per bowl), select a beautiful handmade bowl donated by a local pottery artist, enjoy a hearty meal of soup and bread prepared by local restaurants and served by volunteers, and then keep their bowl as a reminder that many of our neighbors are in need of food and housing.

Bowls donations are being accepted at The Color Wheel Gallery, 319 West 46th Street, from noon-7 PM Tuesday through Saturday or noon-4 PM on Sundays (call 612.823.5693 to confirm) . Need someone to pick up a larger donation? Just contact KFNA at !

KFNA’s Board of Directors

June 14, 2012 By Josh Martin

Last night the KFNA Board moved their meeting outdoors of Dr. Martin Luther King Park to continue the conversation.  The Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except August–because that month they come to YOU and scoop Sebastian Joe’s ice-cream at all registered block parties!  Hint hint: register your block party now!) at 7 PM, MLK Park, 4055 Nicollet.

Picured here (front): Henry Jimenez, Scott Mueller (no relation to Julie!), Hetal Delal, JobyLynn Sassily James, Arthur Knowles, and Scott Bordon in the very front. In back is Bryan Thornton, Jess Alexander, Nate Blumenshine, Victoria Pena, and standing is Ben Rasmussen.  Absent Marshall Onrud and Julie Mueller. Do you have a neighborhood concern or idea?  You can get the board’s contact information here: https://kingfield.org/board/

Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛 An Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛
And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
