Nicollet Avenue Vision Zero Community Meeting

  • Join KFNA at The Lowbrow to learn about Vision Zero, and the recently installed safety improvements being used along Nicollet Avenue.
  • Understand why these safety improvements were installed and how the City will be evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Provide feedback to the City of Minneapolis Vision Zero Team about how it is working.

Thanks to our meeting host, The Lowbrow, who is opening early to host this event and providing happy hour pricing on drinks and food for the occasion!

 What is Vision Zero?

The City of Minneapolis joined the national Vision Zero movement and City Council adopted a Vision Zero Resolution in 2017, which commits to the goal of zero traffic deaths and severe injuries on City streets by 2027.

A HALLOWEEN BLOCK PARTY

On Saturday, Oct 29, from 4-9 PM, the 4300 block of Harriet Ave is hosting an open Halloween Block Party suitable for all families! The block party will begin with a costume parade around the block and end at the 4300 block. There will be food trucks, live music, games, fire pits, and much more!

Not only are all welcome to the party, we also would love to have some volunteers to help with events and/or provide supplies. Here is our wish list:

  • Provide outdoor games (like Cornhole or the like)
  • Bring small pumpkins for painting (we will have paint)
  • Provide hot beverages (hot cider, hot chocolate, etc.)
  • S’mores ingredients
  • Wood for bonfires

Please contact ">Mark Waller  or ">Brigitte Mussack if you are willing and able to help.

A HUGE thank you to the 750 people who attended, the many volunteers, partner nonprofits, donating restaurants and ceramics studios, accordionist Thor Anderson, neighborhood baking volunteers, and Judson Memorial for being the most gracious host. KFNA will be donating back a record amount to trustincmpls, Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, and tcfoodjustice. Stay tuned for updates on how to get involved for year 16!

Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛 An Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛
And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
