MLK Donation Garden Weekly Work

Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30 PM, Starting May 3!

Our MLK Volunteer Veggie Team is BACK, starting May 3! They are looking forward to working the soil with neighbors and teaching about growing food. This smart group of experienced gardeners, including some Hennepin County Master Gardeners!,wants to help neighbors learn to be successful in self-sufficient in vegetable growing, harvesting, and preserving. Their classroom is the raised garden beds on the north end of the park building and their product all gets delivered to The Aliveness Project who uses the food in their daily meal program.

Come work with us! Come learn with us!

KFNA April Board Meeting

On Zoom

The KFNA Board meets monthly to govern the nonprofit neighborhood association. Neighbors are welcome to join the monthly meeting to hear what the board is working on, or can also simply attend the beginning of each meeting. Each board meeting kicks off with Community Forum, a chance for anyone to bring a question or concern before the board of directors. If you have an item that you think will take more than 2-3 minutes please contact to discuss the item and see if there is room on the regular agenda.

The 15th Kingfield Empty Bowls was a big success! The 15th Kingfield Empty Bowls was a big success! A HUGE thank you to the 750 people who attended, the many volunteers, partner nonprofits, donating restaurants and ceramics studios, accordionist Thor Anderson, neighborhood baking volunteers, and Judson Memorial for being the most gracious host. KFNA will be donating back a record amount to trustincmpls, Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, and tcfoodjustice. Stay tuned for updates on how to get involved for year 16!

Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛 An Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛
And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
