MNDOT VIRTUAL 35W TOUR

Neighbors, teachers and kids can explore the 35W@94 project corridor through a virtual self-guided tour to learn about the history of I-35W, project benefits and construction features including the huge red water storage tanks being constructed under the road. Be sure to check out the drone flight over the freeway and download the activity book! Start exploring today: Virtual Self-Guided Tour

Also, two interactive virtual events will occur; these events will share preliminary histories about opposition to the freeway, its impacts on communities of color, and concerns over equity and environmental justice. Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood? Episode 3

A Kingfield Neighbor Interview Series On Zoom.

In Episode 3, we meet Megan Evans Seeds. Megan manages Hennepin County’s external web presence as the Chief Digital Officer, aiming to provide usable and accessible digital service for residents. She and her husband, Rob, have lived in Kingfield since 2011. They are raising two young daughters who love moving, playing, eating and learning in this wonderful neighborhood.

Email to learn more about the series and get the log-in code or visit the event on Facebook here.

Interviewer: Jerome Rankine, Editorial Director at Pollen and a Kingfield Neighborhood Association Board Member

We at the Kingfield Neighborhood Association frequently boast about how talented and committed our community is, but when we began talking about all the great things that neighbors are doing, both during the current pandemic and beyond, we realized that you might not know each other as well as we know you. This online series of one-on-one interviews with neighbors is designed to help you get to know your neighbors better, understand what they do, and what drives and fulfils them.

And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
