For Works in Process of all performance modalities including Theatre, Dance, Music, Film, Community-Engaged Performance, and New Media
cfpa (the Center for Performing Arts) will choose up to three Twin Cities-based artists at any stage in their careers to bring an existing piece and/or way-of-working into further development during our Spring short-term residency.  The key components of this residency are free rehearsal space and mentorship (from a professional whose work intersects with yours; from the cfpa team; and among co-residency artists.) The residency concludes with a public presentation and audience conversation.
Please note:Â Â This residency is designed for the deepening and growth of a work already in process. If you need resources for creating a new piece, please consider applying in the late summer for our Fall New Works residency, which is intended to support the invention of new creative processes and new makings. Details will be available here:Â cfpampls.com/explore-study/presentation-opportunities/
Application Deadline:Â February 1st, 2019, 6 pm

Kingfield Empty Bowls is an annual event that brings the community together to share a meal of homemade soup and bread donated by local restaurants out of handmade bowls donated by local artists. At this event we accept a donation from all diners and all the proceeds from the event are given to support Nicollet Square, a housing option in Kingfield for formerly homeless youth that provides both efficiency apartments along with social/emotion and career support.
For a suggested donation of $20, you can eat dinner and take the bowl home as a reminder of the evening! We need your help as a volunteer too; sign up now to support a night of community and fundraising for Nicollet Square housing, a project of Beacon Interfaith Housing!
