Our communities celebrate the reopening of the 38th Street Bridge with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on Thursday, August 16, from 4-8pm. Join us for a sit-down dinner on the bridge, kid friendly activities, live music and more! This is an opportunity for neighbors to meet and have a conversation around our unique stories and shared future – where all members of the community are empowered!

The conversation, facilitated by Marnita’s Table, will furnish space for open dialogue and healing. A collective dinner will be catered by Eat for Equity and will include halal, vegan and gluten free options.
Gather with family, friends and neighbors and help us celebrate the reopening of this cornerstone bridge that connects our vibrant cultures, neighborhoods and community. [Read more…]

Primary Voting Day Party in Kingfield!

Seeking Volunteer Greeters, Home Bakers, and Movement Specialists (dance instructors, yoga practitioners, body-care specialists) for Tuesday August 14 (Primary Voting Day)!

If you’ve lived in Kingfield for a while, you know that Kingfield Neighborhood Association hosts a polling party at MLK Park every year on November’s Election Day. Volunteers greet neighbors with beverages and treats generously donated by area businesses throughout the day while the polls are open. All of Kingfield (and Kingfield only) votes at MLK Park, so it is a great day to bump elbows with neighbors– look for tents north of the MLK Park building and stop by!

For the first time KFNA will also be hosting an outdoor polling party for the primary on Tuesday, August 14th, as well as on Election Day. Sign up here to be a Volunteer Greeter or bake treats for your neighbors on this special Primary Voting Day!

We also envision a full day of family-focused activities that you will want to check out when you stop by to vote, including yoga, zumba, on-site massage, and hands-on arts and crafts. Contact us at if you are a movement or health practitioner, or a local artist, who would like to volunteer your time and offer an activity and promote your local business!

Kingfield PorchFest 2018

Take a walk from the blues to some bluegrass, from indie-folk to Irish-folk to ukulele lady jams, all on a single summer evening in Kingfield. That’s PorchFest! Local musicians (many who live in the homes where they are performing) will play acoustic music outdoors while neighbors stroll through the neighborhood enjoying the sounds and our community. This year we welcome 50+ performing groups to over 30 stages throughout the neighborhood, mapped to keep you moving from site to site, as well as moving and grooving AT each site.

Give a listen and get a look at all the musical groups performing at Kingfield PorchFest 2018: either on our website or on Facebook at Kingfield PorchFest 2018! We are also linked on Make Music Day Twin Cities in partnership with VEGA Productions!

If you want a map of the entire event, remember they are available at the Kingfield Farmers’ Market on Sunday June 17 for the presale price of $10, printed on a 100% cotton sky blue bandana and bundled with offers from some of our fabulous sponsors which are: Butter Bakery, Twin Town Guitars, Victor’s 1959 Cafe, The Lowbrow, and Pilot!  Buy one at the market and you will get the treat of getting to hear one of our local PorchFest musicians, Edie Rae!

After Sunday you can Be A Supporter of this great local event and purchase them online for the regular $20 here!
