Representatives of the 35W@94 project will host an Open House on Wednesday April 11, 6:30-7:00 PM, followed by a brief presentation allowing time for Q &A from 7:00-7:30 PM. This will be held in the multipurpose room at MLK Park. Rick Krueser with the City of Minneapolis Public Works, Erik Baxstrom with MnDOT Communications, and Tom Holmes with the 35W@94 Public Information Team will be available to answer your questions.

The 20th Annual Kingfield Community Garage Yard Rummage Sale Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2018, from 9 AM to 2 PM. If you would like to have a garage, rummage or yard sale on that date, please let us know by sending your name and the address of your sale to before 7 PM on Tuesday, May 15th.
Pleasant Community Garden Plot Applications Due Midnight March 29
The Pleasant Community Garden consists of 22 total plots for neighbors and friends of Kingfield—and 17 plots are now available for the 2018 growing season! (A percentage of plots are reserved for tenants of CFPA, if interested). The annual fee for a plot is $40, ($30 for returning gardeners).
Plot applications are now available and due by midnight March 29th.
Minneapolis Neighborhoods 2020: Roadmap Info Session
Overview of the Roadmap with City staff and an opportunity to ask questions and have conversations.
This document, the Neighborhoods 2020 Roadmap, is meant to help continue the dialogue with our stakeholders on the future of neighborhood programs, funding, oversight and support. The Roadmap lays out the framework of why the City is undertaking this initiative, explains the project timeline, proposes some recommendations for actions to be taken on polices, programs and oversight. The Roadmap offers for your consideration, three different approaches to neighborhood funding, programming and support services. We also want your creative ideas about how we can improve upon our system of neighborhoods and the services NCR provides to the community.
The public comment period on the Neighborhoods 2020 Roadmap is open from February 28th through Monday, April 30th. Â Comments can be submitted to .

KFNA Board Meeting: Presentation on MPD Procedural Justice Training
The March meeting will begin with a presentation by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Procedural Justice Division. The Minneapolis Police Department has adopted and trained their officers in the philosophy of Procedural Justice in response to community concerns over policing techniques. Procedural Justice provides just procedures to guide officers through interactions with the public, helping everyone involved understand the way those interactions shape the views of police officers as well as the citizens. These procedures include giving a voice to the citizen during an encounter, helping officers to view the information in a neutral way, treating everyone with respect, and working to build trust in the community.
