Taught by artist Twin Cities aerosol-art pioneer Peyton Russell, this week-long class will be inspired by artworks in Mia’s collection. Kingfield Empty Bowls 2018 will be here before we know it, and we are looking for volunteers to help create an inclusive and profitable community experience. Please let us know if you would like to be part of the team that helps host an event that celebrates our community and supports those less fortunate. All money raised through Kingfield Empty Bowls is donated to Nicollet Square, a project of Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative that provides a safe, affordable, and supportive Kingfield housing option for youth who have experienced long-term homelessness or have been in the foster care system.
Volunteers are invited to help with general event planning and outreach. (It’s fun, we promise!) Our first planning meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 4th, at 7 PM, at the MLK Park Recreation Center. We will meet monthly until the event on February 8, 2018.

The Redevelopment Committee of the Kingfield Neighborhood Association meets to discuss, plan and respond to proposals regarding Kingfield’s built environment including roads, business, homes and infrastructure. This group will also meet this year on November 6 and December 4 at the same time and location. Neighbors are welcome to come listen to the conversation, and to join the committee.
