Kingfield PorchFest 2017!

Prepare for PorchFest 2017! So far 28 porches and 48 musical groups have committed to playing for your listening pleasure on Thursday June 8, 6-9 PM!

Join the Facebook event page to get a preview of bands. An event map will be released a day or two before the event so you can track your walking path through Kingfield.

Remember–all musicians are playing for free, so pack your pockets full of change to tip those talented neighbors!

 What Is Kingfield PorchFest?

PorchFest is an evening of acoustical music held at multiple outdoor venues throughout Kingfield on a single evening. PorchFest is a chance for musicians to share their music with their neighbors and a chance for neighbors to walk the dog, stroll the baby, or pack a cool beverage and meander with their sweetie from home to home enjoying the talent of our amazing neighborhood!

43rd & Nicollet Pedestrian Safety Meeting

Tuesday April 25, 6-7:30 PM
The Aliveness Project, 3808 Nicollet Ave South, Located in the Community Room on the 2nd Floor (elevator access is available, if needed)

Traffic, parking, and pedestrian concerns and solutions have been discussed at this intersection since last summer with the current bollard design being tested earlier than planned due to the hit and run accident resulting in a woman’s death at this intersection last fall. A median design has been proposed by the City as another form of traffic calming that could be tested in this location; local businesses are concerned by the number of on-street parking spots this design will remove from Nicollet Avenue.

Come learn more about the proposed median design and other possible modifications to the current design that could occur to make the intersection more pedestrian friendly.

If you have questions feel free to contact KFNA’s Executive Director Sarah Linnes-Robinson at or 612.823-5980.
