 b) Every year, The Aliveness Project’s Holiday Basket Program delivers hundreds of gift baskets to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Each holiday season, hundreds of volunteers help by adopting baskets, donating gifts, wrapping presents, baking cookies, sewing holiday stockings, and delivering baskets. Special needs this year include men’s long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts in sizes M, L, and XL.

d) The Kingfield Neighborhood Association (KFNA) is building an outdoor bread/pizza oven on rented land adjacent to our Pleasant Community Garden as a way to further build community in our neighborhood! Â Essentially creating a new community gathering location, the oven will be used for regular public events hosted by KFNA that bring neighbors together to share food, learn new skills, and build connections to each other.
We are fundraising at only $10 per brick! Â If each brick (1100) has a donor we will meet our $11,000 goal! Â All funds raised through this campaign will be used to cover the material cost of the structure (close to $7000 in cement, insulation, lumber, and brick), to provide our on-site coordinator with a stipend for leading the project, to purchase tools for the oven, and (if we meet our goal) to plan for service counters to be added to the oven area next summer to serve as public gathering spaces and classroom space.
