KFNA Welcomes Five New Board Members!

May 10, 2019 By Josh Martin

April 26th, KFNA held its annual meeting with a celebration at the neighborhood Pizza Oven.  The annual event is an opportunity for neighbors, board members and KFNA staff to come together and celebrate of the all the work KFNA accomplished in the past year.  Despite the threat of rain and cold, the weather cooperated and about 100 neighbors and community leaders showed up to eat fresh cooked pizza, talk about the past year and share ideas for the future.

During the event annual elections were also held.  Please congratulate Lesa Hudak, David Robbins, Elena Bretzman, Sarah Tschida, and Mike Skinner as new KFNA board members.

There are still three open seats on the KFNA Board.  KFNA is committed to the principle of equity and is particularly interested in receiving applications from a broad spectrum of individuals. KFNA is seeking specific populations to fill these remaining seats including Renters, POCI,  LGBTQ+, Youth, or Seniors to balance representation on the board.

If you have any questions or are potentially interested in serving please contact KFNA Executive Director Sarah Linnes-Robinson at . We invite all interested neighbors can attend the June Board meeting on 6/12/19 at 7 PM, MLK Park.

And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
