This monthly meeting of the nonprofit neighborhood Kingfield Board of Directors will take place on Zoom to accommodate attendance by guests and to review and establish a COVID meeting and event policy for the organization. Community Forum begins each meeting; feel free to come and introduce yourselves or raise a question or neighborhood concern. We do request that you notify ">Executive Director Sarah Linnes-Robinson so we can better monitor issues and speaking times.
20th Annual Ice Cream Social @ MLK Park
School’s OUT!
Start summer right! Join fellow neighbors for a delightful evening with music, face painting, crafts and rides for kids. Sebastian Joe‘s ice cream (our very own Kingfield commissary!) will be served free of charge; donations welcomed!
MLK Donation Garden Weekly Workshops & Workdays
Every Tuesday 5:30-6:30 / north end of Park Building at the raised beds
Now almost a decade old, the mission of the MLK Donation Garden is to connect neighbors and grow food for our community. Neighbors and Master Gardeners gather every Tuesday to tend the vegetable gardens on the northern side of the Recreation Center and discuss a weekly topic. The food we grow is donated to The Aliveness Project (located at 3808 Nicollet), but the knowledge you go home with is yours to keep!
Kingfield Farmers Market: Every Sunday from 8:30am-1pm!
Renter Outreach and Doorknocking!
Renter Outreach and Engagement / Meet at SNAC (3537 Nicollet)
Are you interested in connecting with other neighbors and door-knocking high renter areas in the Kingfield neighborhood? KFNA is currently leading a renter outreach campaign and we would love YOUR HELP. Join us on Thursday, July 21st as we door knock high rental areas and invite neighbors to get involved in the Kingfield Neighborhood Association. We will be splitting up into teams to door-knock rental units and invite neighbors to get involved in the Kingfield Neighborhood Association. All are welcome to join us and debriefing and instructions will be provided both before and after doorknocking. Questions? Email or call 612-823-5980.
