We regret to inform the neighborhood that we are cancelling the bonfire scheduled for tonight, 10/5/2018. The location for the bonfire is very wet, and with additional rain in tonight’s forecast, the fire dancers would not be able to perform.
Stop by the Kingfield Neighborhood Association table at this Sunday’s Kingfield Farmers Market to chat with folks from the Lyndale School, a neighborhood school for the Kingfield neighborhood (as well as the Lyndale and East Harriet neighborhoods, and part of CARAG), serving grades K-5. Parents from the school will be sharing stories and answering questions, passing out brochures about Lyndale, and doing a little art activity to engage kids.
4-H is a learn-by-doing youth development program that is open to youth in grades kindergarten through one year out of high school. They will have their first meeting tonight from 6:30-8pm:
Martin Luther King Jr. Rec Center,
4055 Nicollet Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55406
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. All are welcome – interested families, willing adult volunteers, youth in grades K-13th! Hands-on activities for all will be available throughout the meeting.

Our communities celebrate the reopening of the 38th Street Bridge with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on Thursday, August 16, from 4-8pm. Join us for a sit-down dinner on the bridge, kid friendly activities, live music and more! This is an opportunity for neighbors to meet and have intentional conversation around our unique stories and shared future – where all members of the community are empowered!
The conversation, facilitated by Marnita’s Table, will furnish space for open dialogue and healing. A collective dinner will be catered by Eat for Equity and will include halal, vegan and gluten free options.
