City staff will be presenting and receiving comments on the Whittier/Lyndale Bikeway project, which in 2021 will improve existing bikeways on 1st Avenue South and/or Blaisdell Avenue between Grant Street and 40th Street. Enhancements could include curb protected bikeways, two-way bikeways, and/or intersection improvements. If you are not able to attend the presentation, you may submit comments on the project via the City’s online survey.
Throwdown & Paint-a-Bowl
Drop by Fuller Park to watch some pottery spin and to paint a bowl for Kingfield Empty Bowls! Fuller Park artists have pre-thrown 100 bowls for the community to come decorate and be given away at our February community dinner. These same artists will also be providing demonstrations of throwing pottery on a wheel, and providing information about Fuller’s pottery classes and Open Studio time.
Kingfield Conversation about bike, pedestrian and street “issues”/projects
The Kingfield Neighborhood Association and a group of our neighborhood board members would like to invite neighbors to a community conversation around bike, pedestrian and street “issues”/projects in our neighborhood. We will share ideas and organize around improving conditions in and around our streets.
At the event we will:
– Provide quick updates on current projects/concerns with the neighborhood
– Have a conversation around experiences with and motivations for improving bike, pedestrian and general street conditions within our neighborhood
– Organize around specific concerns + current projects
– Discuss next steps- committee structure, purpose and communications
We will provide light food/beverages and have a space/activities for kids.

November KFNA Board Meeting: Agenda Update, come learn about election & Census opportunities!
Update 11/13/19, 10 AM: Just confirmed, join us at tonight’s board meeting to hear about key dates and opportunities for our neighborhood association’s involvement from Jeff Narabloom, Election Services and Alberder Gillespie, Census 2020 Coordinator! Presentation begins at 7:30 PM.
The KFNA Board’s mission is address issues, build community, and support and develop leadership. The volunteer board meets monthly to discuss community issues, including ones brought to it by members at Open Forum at the beginning of each meeting.
Also at this meeting the Board of Director will be planning 2020 events and activities, put on with the support of the broader community including such favorites as Kingfield Empty Bowls and PorchFest, as well as new events including a Sap-Tapping Pancake Breakfast.
