KFNA Board Election: Vote Online Through May 7, 2019

May 1, 2019 By Josh Martin

Vote here! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CFPY7KH

KFNA held their annual meeting this past Saturday and opened the Kingfield Outdoor Oven for the season! Eight seats were available and five individuals were nominated to fill these seats; take a look at their skills and desires for the neighborhood at the voting link below.  All neighbors that live in Kingfield and are over 18 are eligible to vote.  Business owners or a single representative of a business can also run for the board and cast a vote.

KFNA is seeking specific populations to fill the three remaining seats including renters, POCI, Youth, or Seniors to balance representation on the board. If you have any questions or are interested in serving please contact KFNA Executive Director Sarah Linnes-Robinson at .

So What’s It Like to Serve on the KFNA Board?

Join a handful of Kingfield Neighborhood Association Board Members at The Lowbrow tonight at their great late-night happy hour and find out!  *swimsuits not required!

Talk to real people who volunteer their time working to improve their community and build connections between neighbors, and between Kingfield and the City! Learn about the upcoming annual meeting/pizza party next Saturday April 27th and how the casual nomination and voting process will occur.

Drop in between 8:30-9:30 PM tonight and look for the noisiest table…or better yet, let us know you are coming so we can cobble together enough tables for the group. Just email if you plan to attend (or if you can’t attend, but want to discuss these relevant neighborhood topics with someone!)

*Photo note: The KFNA Board sure knows how to have fun–members of the 2015-16 board launched the “Bring on the Heat” campaign!

Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. The concept is simple: Restaurants donate a generous percent of their sales to a local HIV service organization, and the local HIV service organization fills participating restaurants with diners.

Community Sap-Boiling / Maple Syrup Cook-off Party

Kingfield’s first communal sap-tap culminates with a community sap boiling party to make our own maple syrup!  You can be part of the slow-burning fun (yes, we expect it to take much of the day!)

7 neighbors partnered together to collect sap from their individual trees–resulting in almost 40 gallons, which we will boil down outside the park for all to see and taste!  Come on down and watch the sap boil! Or volunteer to take on a cooking shift: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0849a8a62ea1fe3-community
